An Unforgettable African Safari Adrift A Hot Air Balloon With Spectacular Scenes Of The Savanah Full With Wildlife.
An African safari is not complete devoid of taking a flight on a hot air-driven balloon.
In 1976, Alan Root and his wife Joan- wildlife movie producers, rode in a hot air balloon to take video clips of wild animals. It was more convenient, to use the balloon to reach areas where an automobile was unable to reach, to film fantastic aerials of wildlife.

We take 90 degrees angle and underneath we spot the heads of giraffes through the cover of acacia bushes as they feed on the foliage, hardly acknowledging us drifting in the air above.
After 1 hr adrift, the journey comes to an end with a bouncy landing bringing us back to the ground. At this moment we inch out of the carrier to a champagne breakfast. The elegance is that this breakfast happens in the wild, where ever you land, and it's prepared as you watch with the burners that moments before kept you floating in the air. What a way to commence our day!

After the end year rains, the vegetation is rich green as we drive back to our camp watching wildlife en-route. It is such a contrast as these are the similar grasslands which, in November, were golden, dried up and hash.
Suddenly we run into a mother cheetah marking her tree, spraying the area with urine. Once done, she checks our troupe and then releases a soft chirping sound as she walks through the grass. Maybe she is looking for her litter.
The grasslands are swarming with elephants, buffaloes, topi, wildebeests and other antelopes and the sight is just striking.
